
Karen Caldicott
Born in Leicester, England, she studied Fine art in London and was awarded a B.A. in the early 80’s. She received her Masters degree in Illustration from The Royal College of Art.
In 1987 she moved to New York City.
Having worked in many illustration styles over the years Karen has now become known for her works in clay. These small (8 ’’ high) busts have been commissioned by most major US publications.
Clients include: The New Yorker, The New York Times, Fortune, TIME, Rolling Stone and New York Magazine.
When not in her studio she enjoys, road bikes, skiing and hiking. She also might be found in the local bar enjoying her other favourite pastime, billiards.
Karen lives and works in the beautiful rural Hudson Valley, New York.
