
Robert Wagt
1962 born in Assen, the Netherlands. Studied from 1982–1987 at Academy of Fine Arts « MINERVA » Groningen (Nl). In 1985 during his study he worked for one year in Berlin, Germany at the academy of fine arts of Berlin and started collaborating with various ad agencies and magazines in Europe as a freelance illustrator.
Graduated in 1987, specializing in (fashion) illustration and photography. 1987 moves to
Paris, France. 1988 moves to Milan, Italy where he becomes a regular contributor to magazines of the Condé Nast group (Vogue, Uomo Vogue, Vanity). 1996 moves back to Paris. 1997 starts working with the US (New York Times a.o.). 1999 Is being represented in the US by Lindgren&Smith illustrators agent and by Sigrid Freundorfer Fine Arts.
2003 Marries Florence Georgette Nicolle a freelance graphic designer. Summer 2008 creates a series of bags for Longchamp.
Currently living and working in Nyack, NY US.
