Anja Nolte
Anja is working as freelance-artist since 1998 - for publishers, newspapers, magazines, advertising agencies, and corporations. Her work can be serious and straight forward or an expression of her unique own style: Colorful and catchy, surprising, lovely and passionate with a special heart for humorous details and a view for the big picture. Anjas highlight in 2008 is the development of a 5-volume book for the publisher Prestel. Although her focus within this project is on numerous book illustrations, character design and a comic book, she is also responsible for the idea, concept (together with K. Schmidl), graphic design, character design, and delivery of pre-press materials. The first book ‘Islam’ is now available! In addition, Germany’s prestigious newspaper ‘Die Zeit’ printed more than 30 of Anja’s illustrations in the launch issue of their special magazine ‘Studienführer. The leading publisher Taschen voted Anja in the top ‘150 ... today's best commercial and editorial illustrators from over 50 countries’ and Luerzer’s Archive included her in their compilation ‘200 best illustrators worldwide 07/08’.
